Join artist and author Abbey Sy for a travel journaling workshop this summer.
During the workshop, you'll delve into the captivating world of travel journaling and gain creative insights as you peer into Abbey's own awe-inspiring travel journals for inspiration. Abbey will lead a travel journaling session— bring your favourite tools, fountain pens, and ephemera as she shares with you her documenting process and techniques to make your journal pages more meaningful.

Taiwanese collage artist Judy Kuo, brings her collage workshops to London. Learn the skills to make the most of your beautiful PET tapes, stickers and other items to create stunning layered collages.
Workshop 1: Memories Frame by Frame with Judy Kuo
Sessions: Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th starting 9.30am

Workshop Description:
In this class, you'll learn how to create stunning 3D collages using PET tapes and different frame styles. You'll explore different layering techniques and various types of PET tape to add depth and dimension to your frame designs. By the end of the class, you'll learn how to combine multiple PET tape designs with other materials/elements to create your own unique frame border—perfect as a unique and thoughtful gift for family and friends.
Price: $110 / £85 and includes PET tape samples (total of 5 samples you can choose from), white blank postcards, a total of 25 selected assortment of frames and foam tapes.

Workshop 2: Background Layer, Blend and Create with Judy Kuo
Sessions: Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th starting 12pm

You'll explore different layering techniques and various types of PET tape to add depth and dimension to your designs. By the end of the class, you'll know how to maximise the potential of PET tapes to craft a beautifully layered 3D postcard—perfect as a unique and thoughtful gift for family and friends.

She’ll be joining our Pop-up Event for exclusive one-to-one 10 minutes sessions where you can personalise a shitajiki board* she designed.
Workshop: Customise your Shitajiki Board with Ryoko Tamura
Sessions: Saturday and Sunday, 10 minutes sessions between 10:00-11.30 and 13:00-14:30.
Duration: 10 minutes, one-to-one session
Workshop Description:
Meet Ryoko in this one-to-one session and personalise a shitajiki board* she designed. Ryoko will hand-letter a word of your choice in Japanese, making each piece truly one of a kind.

We are thrilled that Makoto-san, Yoshimi-san and the TSL team are coming to host workshops in London for the very first time, all the way from Okayama Prefecture in Japan!
You will be able to meet them in person, chat with them and take photos together. During the workshops you can enjoy making and customising the limited edition products that TSL has created exclusively for the Miso Paper workshops. No experience required!
TSL are running three different workshop types each day, as follows:
Workshop 1: Make and Decorate Your Own Leather Pen Case
Sessions: Saturday, Sunday and Monday at 10:00.
Duration: 2 hours
Workshop Description:
Assemble and customise your own exclusive TSL pen case in this fun and creative workshop. Stamp the leather with several TSL stamps of your choice and assemble the pen case with your selection of coloured yarn threads. Choose between two different designs: a vertical pen case that fits 3 pens (suitable for fountain pens too!) or an horizontal case with room to carry more stationery items. The techniques are not difficult to master and the TSL experts will help and guide you.

Stamp the exclusive colour canvas with TSL stamps of your choice and paint the bottom stripe in your chosen colour. The stamps and paint colours have been created specially for the Miso Paper event! The techniques are not difficult to master and the TSL experts will help and guide you.

Doodling and Lettering for Creative Journals
Sessions: Saturday, Sunday and Monday 12:00 and 16:30.
Duration: 2 hours
Workshop Description: Learn the fundamental techniques of doodling snippets about your daily life, schedule and experiences. Designed for all skill levels, this class will cover pen techniques, how to simplify scenes, adding colour, and how to incorporate doodles and lettering into your daily journaling. Materials will be provided, but feel free to also bring your favourite journaling supplies!
Price: £112. Includes a journaling kit with Helen's favourite stationery supplies.

How do I get to the event?
The venue is located within easy walking distance of Kings Cross St Pancras and Euston Square mainline railway stations, as well as a number of tube stations.

Is there any parking at the location?
There is no parking at the location. Parking in central London can be difficult but there are pre-bookable car parks nearby.
Don’t forget that the London Congestion Charge applies if you are driving between 12:00-18:00 on weekends and bank holidays. You can pay in advance on the TFL web site.
Is the event fully accessible?
Please note that step-free access and accessible toilets are only available on the ground floor. Workshops may take place on other floors. Please contact us if you need any further information.
Can I return or sell my ticket?
We are committed to making workshop tickets available to genuine customers.. For this reason, all workshop tickets will be individually named and photo ID will be required when you attend.

Can I leave and re-enter the event?
